The Safe Zone

“Outside your comfort zone, that’s where the magic happens” someone asked me, “is it true”, and actually I have to say yes! When I think about it, yes, it is!

It’s been those times that life has pushed me to do something braver than I normally would, those are the memories that stick.

I am actually not the daring type, I’m shy and a little scared. I think I would stay in my safe zone forever if it wasn’t for something pushing me out there.

Somehow it’s become my way of coping, in times of loss, sadness, or confusion, the only way I seem to be able to pull out of it, is to set my sights on something equally amazing as the other thing that is dragging me down, like balancing the highs and lows or something.

So I suppose I should be grateful for the “bad” stuff that has happened because those things have forced me to reevaluate, to fight harder and just want more …of the good stuff.

And that other thing “do more of what you love” …there’s definitely something to it! Do more of what makes you happy, and when you can’t –work hard to make it possible!

As I’m writing this, I’ve just been arranging the details for a trip that I’ve been talking about for a year now. Again, a couple things, work etc, left me feeling lost and needing a heading.  I do not have it all figured out yet, but this is one thing I know I want and I’m gunna start with it. Did you guess what it is? :p YEPSIE, I’m gunna do some fine art/oil painting in London. HELL YEAH!
