TRYING TO EAT LOCAL FOOD I Exploring Mallorca
The thing was, there were so many other things that looked amazing! I tend to go for food I recognize and know that I will like. When a dessert is titled “pure love” it’s really a toss up on what it’s going to be. Added to the very short and often undescriptive names on the menu, the waiters often didn’t speak much English.
But I’d heard about Pallea, and did try that. Also, Sangria. I tried this at several different places and it was different every time. The first one was with champagne and fruit, some of the fruit was canned fruit, so this one could have been better. The others were with red wine and different fruits, cut into cubes. This reminded me of party punch and I guess it is a fancy type of punch?
Our hotel was along the promodande and there were quite a few ‘pizzeria’ type restaurants there, with laminated menu cards. Our best dinner experiences were along the side streets, both near our hotel and when we drove into the city center.
Up in Valledemossa, there were so many restaurants that looked totally amazing. Link to that video below.
